Mission Statement

We, the members of the Redding Peace Officers Association are committed to professional law enforcement;

to represent the Association members in maintaining the health and welfare of its membership, address work related problems and morale issues;

to encourage the membership to work closely together in a spirit of mutual cooperation;

to encourage and promote good citizenship in the youth of our community;

and strive to enhance the quality of life in our community through support of various community events and organizations each year.

We strive to assist the Redding Police Department in continuing to provide the services that citizens of Redding have come to expect.

The Redding Peace Officers Association represents 115 employees of the Redding Police Department. Our membership consists of both sworn police officers and non-sworn officers. The membership includes Police Corporals, Police Investigators, Police Officers, Community Service Officers, Property Evidence Technicians and Crime Scene Technicians. The RPOA is a non-profit organization that bargains and maintains the health and welfare, addresses work related problems, and handles morale issues of its membership.

We are members of the Peace Officers Research Association (PORAC) and the Shasta County Peace Officers Association.
