***Special Council Meeting***

On Tuesday, August 18, 2009 the Redding City Council will be given a presentation by City Manager Kurt Starman on proposed budget cuts that could reflect in the police department losing more positions. These cuts could include up to 9 officers and the rest of the CSO’s that we fought to save in May 2009. The police department has reduced the size of its department by 23 positions since last year. That's a 10% downsizing.

Please attend this meeting and show your support.

On Tuesday, September 1, 2009 the Redding City Council will be making their decisions on where those cuts will ultimately take place.

PLEASE: Contact your Redding Council Person and tell them NO MORE CUTS to Public Safety!!!

The Redding Police Explorer Post provides local youth experience in the area of law enforcement by working with the Police Department on a daily basis and assisting the community during the many special events that occur in our community annually.
